Highland Park – Distilled in the 1960’s
Yep that’s right! This beauty is a 50 year old single malt scotch from the guys at UK Highland Park . And what better way for it to be delivered than in a magnificent hand made bottle, made from intricate sterling silver swirls, nice. The bottle itself is enough to get it on The News, but if it’s filled with 44.8 percent alcohol whisky, even better. It is limited to 275 bottles, and around the $15,000 USD mark. But if the official tasting notes are anything to go by it’s well worth it…
“is clear and bright with a deep natural ruby color. It’s sweet at first, with notes of ripe black cherries and Muscovado sugar giving way to dried autumn fruits and warm, toasted wood. The hint of cedar wraps around Highland Park’s signature light peat smoke, giving way to a lingering finish.”
