The Pole House, Fairhaven Beach, Victoria

Well if you haven’t seen it already, here it is, one of the most photographed houses in Australia, The Pole House on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, and you can see why. Suspended over Fairhaven Beach, this show stopper will definitely make you look twice, appearing to be hovering in the sky 40m above the road. To get you to the house is a 76-foot glass balustrades bridge that leads to the balcony that goes all the way around. Built in 1978 by architect Frank Dixon, he tried to have it heritage listed but failed. The new owners have totally rebuilt the house on the same pole bringing it into the 21st century as well furnishing it with high end modern amenities you’d expect of a luxury getaway. So what better way to wake up in the morning than to be able to take in that incredible 360 panoramic view of our great coastline. Book here.
