From Cyber Trucks, to Cyber Phones, to a  Cyber House – now this…a Cyber Mansion, when will it ever end? Cyberhouse Life is a concept from architect Alex Wyzhevsky that looks like it could easily be out of the next Bond film. Nestled in a picturesque mountain this dwelling actually consists of two buildings – a house and garage. We could go with some sort of architectural spiel, but why? Just look at it! So we’ll just give you the basics. The mansion is 1,370-square-meters with glazed walls, and is constructed of monolithic concrete, heavy-duty steel, and bulletproof glass. There you go, start dreaming.

What has been touted as the world’s longest art gallery is somewhere you wouldn’t expect a metro in Sweden’s national capital Stockholm. It has 100 stations is 110 kilometres long and over 90 art installations by 150 artists which had been created starting in the 1950’s. There you’ll find stations each with different visual feasts decorated with sculptures, mosaics, paintings, installations, engravings with eye-poping colours. This concept house by Victorian prefabricated architecture specialists Modscape takes high rise to a new level. Designed for a couple in mind this 5 storey home aptly entitled ‘Cliff House’ literally clings to one, you gain access through the carport on top (off course) and access different levels via lifts and the interior is kept minimal so not to waste those incredible views of the ocean.

With space at a premium these days, people have to think outside the box (or should I say the bridge) to find a place to relax, focus and escape the hustle and bustle, so what better way, than to make your own hidden studio under a bridge. Well that’s what self-taught designer Fernando Abellanas has done in the Spanish city of Valencia. In just 2 weeks the furniture designer created this ingenious small timber and metal-framed hideaway. Under the bridge he makes use of concrete beams as runners with a set wheels to allow the studio to be rolled along with a hand crank to the cabin. It is decked out with all your basic mod cons: shelves, table, chair and a of courses at night a place for your doona, pillow and lamp. This studio is simply so beautiful, minimal and he wishes to keep the location a secret, so would I. So basically you’re in the city but not in the city if that makes any sense, but who cares, it’s just Guay! (Spanish for cool). Nestled in West Melbourne is this stunning minimalist Loft that used be a Butter Factory. Designed by Melbourne architects Adrian Amore Architects it has curves to die for and a staircase that wouldn’t look out of place in a museum. Coupled with its monochromatic palette and minimal décor, butter would melt in its mouth. No it’s no the new album cover for U2’s 1987 The Joshua Tree, it’s a house made of shipping contains in the Californian desert. With it’s shape representing the famed tree, it was designed by James Whitaker of Whitaker Studios for a studio producer and his wife. While we could whittle out all its specs and how super good it is, why not take a look for yourself here and a 360 view here, you wont be disappointed. So in answer to U2’s song on the album “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For?”…well we have.

Yasou! Nestled away on a Greek hillside in Agia Galini, Crete is this concept three-building compound by decaACHITECTURE. Started in 2012-13, the main house (the ring) has been completed and rest is yet to come. At quick glance it’s not your typical Greek house but exudes the best of Greek architecture. It is 165 nautical miles from the Sahara desert and displays true minimalism and brutalism at the same time, now we like that!

Remember when you were young and always wanted a tree house, well you can still live that dream, with this awe inspiring yellow pod, The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant in New Zealand. Constructed on a 40 metre high redwood tree and is 10 above the ground, it was part of a Yellow Pages marketing campaign. The 10 metres wide space can seat a total of 30 people, includes a kitchen and toilet on the ground below. It was designed by Pacific Environment Architects NZ. “The Architectural Inspiration largely came from the site -an open fairytale meadow and stream in the midst of a redwood forest plantation, understanding the nature of the tree/environment and the construction concerns about building sustainably in a living tree”. Maybe Coldplay could do a gig there,“…And it was called yellow”.
