Well if you can’t afford one, why not print one! That’s what Sterling Backus and his son Xander decided to do, building a full-scale Lamborghini Aventador Spider. They’re using a 3-D printer to print out the parts using plastics and carbon fiber-infused materials and the car is supported by a steel frame. They have currently only spent $30,000, a lot cheaper than a new one (around $600,000). Check out their progress on Facebook. And while you’re there you can support their cause with a ‘You wouldn’t download a car…Hold my beer!’ t-shirt.
