A lucky unemployed New Zealanderer, James Sanders, bought it at an deceased estate auction for a couple hundred bucks, as he thought it might be a good investment, and how right was he. It’s now up for auction and auctioneer Charles Leski of Leski Auctions in Melbourne said it may fetch up to $25,000-$35,000 dollars, which I’m sure would bowl the Kiwi over (not underarm off course). It’s not known which matches the bat was used in or even if was used at all, but it’s signed on the front of the bat by the man who averaged 99.94. You can start bidding here (starting bid $20,000), and the auction is on the 11th August.
