There’s a hole, dear Liza…

Now you know you’ve had a bad day when you come back to this…well not really, it’s called Inversion and was artwork by sculptors Dan Havel and Dean Ruck of Houston Alternative Art. They altered two 1920’s houses  in Texas (scheduled to be demolished), owned by the Art League Houston that had used them for art classes and exhibitions for over 30 years. The exterior skins of the houses were peeled off and used to create a large vortex,  and create a narrowing spiral as it progresses through a small hallway. Unfortunately the artwork has now been demolished. Check out more images here.

Lee Alexander McQueen, CBE (17 March 1969 – 11 February 2010), known professionally as Alexander McQueen, was a British fashion designer and couturier (Biography: Sarah Burton). He is known for having worked australiatrustpill.com as chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001 and for founding his own Alexander McQueen label. His achievements in fashion earned him four British Designer of the Year awards (1996, 1997, 2001 and 2003), as well as the CFDA’s International Designer of the Year award in 2003. McQueen died by suicide in 2010 at the age of forty.

Arguably the greatest actor of all time Sean Justin Penn (born August 17, 1960) is an American actor, filmmaker, and political activist. He met pop singer Madonna in February 1985, and they married that August on her birthday.  She referred to him in the liner notes as “the coolest guy in the universe”.  Marlon Brando believed Penn was the finest actor of his generation. Penn has appeared in more than 50 films and won many awards during his career as an actor and director. He has won two Academy Awards for Best Actor for Mystic River (2003) and Milk (2008), and was nominated three more times in the same category for Dead Man Walking (1995), Sweet and Lowdown (1999), and I Am Sam (2001). The R Type is the second series of post-war Bentley automobiles, replacing the Mark VI. Essentially a larger-boot version of the Mk VI, the R type is regarded by some as a stop-gap before the introduction of the S series cars in 1955. As with its predecessor, a standard body was available as well as coachbuilt version. Other than the radiator grilles and the carburation there was little difference between the standard Bentley R Type and the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn. The R Type was the more popular marque, with some 2,500 units manufactured during its run to the Silver Dawn’s 760. The R-Type Continental was a high-performance version of the R-Type. Robert James “Bobby” Fischer (March 9, 1943 – January 17, 2008) was an American chess grandmaster and the eleventh World Chess Champion. Many consider him to be the greatest chess player of all time (Waitzkin 1993, p. 275 (quoting Kasparov)). In 1972, he captured the World Chess Championship from Boris Spassky of the USSR in a match held in Reykjavík, Iceland, publicized as a Cold War confrontation, which attracted more worldwide interest than any chess championship before or since.
